Warrenton Antique Show - Christie Lacy - Houston Children and Family Photographer

Yesterday, a friend and I went to the Warrenton, TX antique market. It was a splendid site to see! A photographer’s dream. Unfortunately, I had the 2 kids along with me and wasn’t really able to get into photographing, in fear they’d touch and break something worth a gazillion  dollars. I’m going to try and see if I can make it out there this weekend, though, they say the one road in and out of town backs up for miles on the weekends. Only an hour and a half’s drive from Houston, located in the beautiful town of Warrenton. Check out more here: www.zapphall.com

These are some of the treasures I picked up from a sweet little place called Willow Nest. Their set up was so feminine, shades of muted pink, white and cream. I adored this little shop and will be back time and time again, I think! The Willow Nest is opening a store in the town of Burton, TX. They are planning their very first event for November 8th 2008. I plan to stop by, even for a short while to see what adorns their shop. I can only imagine!

And here are some shots I took with my trusty point and shoot. There truly was so much I wish I had been able to photograph, so many things I wish I could have taken with me. I am definitely going back next year with a plan, and without kids, tee hee!

Stay tuned to the blog for more sneak peeks! I have a few to post over the next couple of days!

The R Family - Christie Lacy - Houston Children and Family Photographer

Whew! I had quite a weekend. Several shoots packed into the last few days, a couple of birthday parties, a trip to Warrenton (I can’t wait to show you what I found!). And that was just over the weekend! Now I’ve got sessions to proof, orders to make and people to call!

I spent some time with this lovely family on Saturday. They were referred to me by Andre’s teacher from last year, Mrs. Hill (her kids are featured in this post). Thanks Kristi, don’t forget that you receive a $20 print credit for your referral!

Big brother was as sweet as can be to his little sister, I hope my boys are that way with my little girl! And his lil’ sis was super sweet as well. A bit shy, but they almost always are at first. I want to thank your family for choosing me as your photographer! Thanks for letting me have some moments with your family! Here’s your sneak peek!

More Halloween Style - Houston Children Photography - Christie Lacy

My friend Michelle, of Crimson 5 Couture, stopped over yesterday and dropped off a sweet little Halloween outfit to be photographed. As soon as I got it on my little Julesey, I just had to have it. Michelle is taking orders now for this little creation! She’s already had a great response from it, so if your in the market for a cute Halloween outfit, or maybe your school won’t allow costumes this year, these are a great way to celebrate the day!

It’s going to be a stylish Halloween - Houston Children Photography - Christie Lacy

For the last few days I’ve had over 100 hits to my blog and I feel so badly for not leaving you anything new to see! Thank you so much for taking the time to see what I’m up to! If you’re friends and clients, THANK YOU for spending your time here to see what’s going on! I know some of you are addicts of my blog, and knowing how addicted I am to some things, it frustrates me when I can’t have it!! haha!  To my fellow photographers, thank you so much for taking the time to come by here! As inspired as I am by many of you, I hope I can do the same for you!! Ok, enough with the sap! hehehe.

I’ve been missing - Houston Children Photographer - Christie Lacy

Wow! I really didn’t think it would set me back that much, but Ike threw us for a loop! The kids’ schedule, my schedule, my husbands schedule. And to think, we hardly were affected at all. Again, my deepest prayers go out to all of those who are in much worse cases than we are!

Thanks to everyone for being so patient as I get back in the saddle! I really do have the best clients and friends!

Now back to regular blog-casting :)
