There’s a bit of peace that comes from holding a brand new baby. I don’t know if it’s the idea that this new child is a new generation and all the promise a new generation holds. Maybe it’s just that a new baby brings new joy and new happiness. Maybe it’s as simple as just love. Whatever it is that brings me peace, I find it in every newborn I hold.

Baby E was no different. She was a gem, really. Slept the whole time, fussed only the tiniest bit. Allowed us to hold her, to fold her. Here are a few from the session:
