Greater Houston Area Children and Family Photography | Christie Lacy bio picture

Come in and stay a while :)

Hi! I'm Christie. I'm married (Jerome) and mama to 3 beautiful kiddos (8, 6 & 3). They keep me busy, but they keep me young. I love seeing the world through their eyes, learning about things I'd forgotten about since I was their ages. I love that they find beauty in the smallest things. I love their wonderment and awe, their many moods and their desire to know everything they can.

I wasn't a photographer before my children. I didn't grow up using my father's Pentax film camera. I think I got a little camera for one of my birthdays, but probably lost it somewhere along the way. If that's a story you were expecting to hear, I'm sorry to dissappoint!

Photography was something that I grew into as my desire to freeze in time everything that these wonderful blessings embraced. From the way my middle one closes his eyes in bliss every time he eats (he has a real love for tasty foods), to capturing the boys playing in mud, and seeing baby girl's imagination come to life when she dons her princess garb. As I've seen with my now 8 year old, time passes way too swiftly. The things that they do today, will be gone tomorrow, all except for the photographs.

My goal for your session is to help you freeze your moments. Your child's stages of life, their joy, their imagination, and even the temper tantrums. So whether you want to hop out on the golf course, have a baking cookies session, or wander around in the park, let's capture your real life moments. Yes, my goal is to capture these moments so that you'll have them to remember back on. But more importantly, my goal is to capture them for your children to look back on. Do this for you, but more importantly, do it for them.

engaged : Kristen + Clayton – Cypress Lifestyle Photographer

Clayton and Kristen have been romancing for the last year, but have known each other in their church circle for a few more years. Clayton proposed to her on Christmas day
and they are both looking forward to spending the rest of their lifes together. Kristen is the sister of a good friend of mine and asked me to capture their engagement photos.
We set out to Market Street in The Woodlands and walked around, got to know each other, and have some fun. Here are a few from the loveshoot :)

Hello Again – Christie Lacy – Houston Children and Family Photography

Whew! What a start to a new year for me! My family came to visit to celebrate my birthday so we had 6 extra people in the house – enough to make it nice and cozy, and enough to keep me busy busy busy! My phone broke and I had to get a new one, and then my computer decided to bow out and started giving me too many troubles. So, here I am, family all gone, new phone in hand, new computer in front of me, just trying to get back in the swing of things!

IF you’ve emailed me over the last few weeks and are expecting a response, I do apologize! I will be back in touch with you soon. If you do not hear back from me by Thursday, please please please resend your email so I can be sure to get back to you!

And I leave you with this! My oldest gave me some time to play last week. Oh how I love it when they cooperate! He’s growing his hair out, rying to accomplish the faux-hawk look, but it’s just not long enough yet. However, I’m quite loving this in-between stage :) His hair is so soft and curly :)

Do you Facebook? – Houston Children and Family Photographer – Christie Lacy

I do. Several times a day, I might ad. I facebook before I go to sleep, when I wake up in the morning. I facebook on my iphone, at my computer, on the road. Okay. I’m not an addict per se. I got into myspace a long time ago, but the crowd was just so…young. My priorities are just in a different place…in facebook :)

Anyhow, my point is, if you do facebook and you have had your pictures taken with me, I’d be glad to send you some websized files so that you may add your darling children and familie pics up on your profile for all of your friends to see :) Already had a session this year? Email me and I’ll be sure to get them over to you!  Have a session coming up? I’ll include 5-10 websized images with my logo for you to add!

Kate and Tim, Anytime – Christie Lacy – Houston Photographer

A few months ago, I received a call from Kate. She wanted to have her photos taken with her husband. Not for any specific reason (except they hadn’t had them done in a long while). I was so excited, shooting adults keep my creative juices flowing, keep me thinking out of the box, and keep me refreshed. No, that’s not to say I don’t love all my kids, but we all need something different every so often.

So jump to last week and Tim and Kate drove acrossed town to come see me! What’s even more, is that they had to do it again the next day for a wedding that, coincidentally, I second shot at with the great Kris Evans.
