grosgrain - houston children and family photographer - Christie Lacy

I don’t know how, but I came across Grosgrain. It was love at first site. Not only did I find one of the most elaborate children’s costumes I’ve ever seen, but I found some awesome images to boot!  What I love most about her blog is the great detail that she goes into when describing her pieces and how she made each one of them.

I decided that I’m going to do a weekly share where I will be featuring some of the fantastic creativity I’ve found out there in the WWW. It’s truly inspiring how creative us women and moms are. I find so many designers, creators, bloggers everyday. So here’s my first Wednesday Share!

Do you Facebook? - Houston Children and Family Photographer - Christie Lacy

I do. Several times a day, I might ad. I facebook before I go to sleep, when I wake up in the morning. I facebook on my iphone, at my computer, on the road. Okay. I’m not an addict per se. I got into myspace a long time ago, but the crowd was just so…young. My priorities are just in a different place…in facebook :)

Anyhow, my point is, if you do facebook and you have had your pictures taken with me, I’d be glad to send you some websized files so that you may add your darling children and familie pics up on your profile for all of your friends to see :) Already had a session this year? Email me and I’ll be sure to get them over to you!  Have a session coming up? I’ll include 5-10 websized images with my logo for you to add!

Wee Wuns Fall Festival - Houston Children and Family Photographer - Christie Lacy

Woo hoo! Fall festivals! I love them! I love taking the kids out and having fun and games. I love finding treasures to take home with us. This year, I’m donating and item for the Wee Wuns Fall Festival Silent Auction! If you’re out and about on October 24, stop by the Cypress United Methodist Church for some fun and games! Oh, and by the way, check out an awesome list of fall festivals in our area here!

Warrenton Antique Show - Christie Lacy - Houston Children and Family Photographer

Yesterday, a friend and I went to the Warrenton, TX antique market. It was a splendid site to see! A photographer’s dream. Unfortunately, I had the 2 kids along with me and wasn’t really able to get into photographing, in fear they’d touch and break something worth a gazillion  dollars. I’m going to try and see if I can make it out there this weekend, though, they say the one road in and out of town backs up for miles on the weekends. Only an hour and a half’s drive from Houston, located in the beautiful town of Warrenton. Check out more here: www.zapphall.com

These are some of the treasures I picked up from a sweet little place called Willow Nest. Their set up was so feminine, shades of muted pink, white and cream. I adored this little shop and will be back time and time again, I think! The Willow Nest is opening a store in the town of Burton, TX. They are planning their very first event for November 8th 2008. I plan to stop by, even for a short while to see what adorns their shop. I can only imagine!

And here are some shots I took with my trusty point and shoot. There truly was so much I wish I had been able to photograph, so many things I wish I could have taken with me. I am definitely going back next year with a plan, and without kids, tee hee!

Stay tuned to the blog for more sneak peeks! I have a few to post over the next couple of days!
