This weekend I was lucky enough to meet and see some wonderful people and even luckier to take their pictures! Here’s a quick few from the first couple of sessions, the bottom half of the day’s session sneaks will be up tomorrow!

It’s time to start thinking about your Christmas photos! It will be here before you know! Take a look at the info below for some amazing opportunities to have your photos updated! I’ve just announced November sessions due to much demand!

These Petite Sessions are such a great way to share and gift your family photos. I’m offering only digital images so that you can print as many as you like, share as many as you like, and showcase as many as you like in your homes. Add to that, I’m offering a digital card, complete with printer recommendations. You’ll have 5 designs to choose from and they are personalized with the photos of your choice (these designs will be shown soon, but the card below is a sneak peek!).

And just to add a bit of a perk, if you purchase your session by October 1st, I’ll take $50 off the price. Taking advantage of that saves you about $900 off the list price! Amazing savings!

Payment of Petite Session package is due in full at time of scheduling.
10 images will be fully enhanced and shown in an online, password protected gallery.
Final order/Images will be delivered to you in a secure downloadable link 10-15 days after session is complete.
In the event that you need to reschedule, all sessions must be completed by November 15th.
All sessions are subject to the required state sales tax.
All Petite Sessions are non-refundable, but are transferable.

oh my goodness the last few weeks have whirled by. This is always the craziest season in a portrait photographer’s life. I thought I’d be done by the first of November, but silly me always tries to squeeze in just one more session. One more turns into many more, by the time all is said and done.

These are some of my final family sessions of the year and I couldn’t be more pleased with how they’ve turned out! The sun blessed me with beautiful warmth and flare. This makes my heart super happy! Take a peek!

This family was my last mini session that day and there were so many photographers swarming the location, that I asked ‘em if they’d mind moving. They were up for anything so they followed me out to one of my most favorite locations. We were beating the light and I had my pedal to the metal. The probably think I drive like a maniac.
But these photos are so worth it! Don’t they all look stunning?!?

Well, I’ve been asked to head north and do some mini sessions in the Dallas Area! I’m so excited to offer these sessions to my north Texas clients who I rarely get to see! I’m so excited to be up in the Frisco, TX area during the fall. While the weather down here in Houston is often warm, North Texas is always cool and crisp and very fall like.

I’ve pre-packaged some options for you so that you don’t have to think too hard about it. There are 4 options, so I’m sure at least one will fit your needs and budget!

Friday October 22nd 2010 McKinney, TX

Now, the fine print:

All sessions will take place in McKinney, TX (location will be sent upon scheduling).
Payment of any package is due in full at time of scheduling, however, should you choose to upgrade your package later on, you are welcomed to do so!
10-15 images will be fully enhanced and shown in an online, password protected gallery.
All sessions will take place Friday October 22nd.
All packages are subject to the required state sales tax.

Sessions begin at noon and later in 30 minute intervals, please call for time availability!!

Ok, I know I’ve been talking about Christmas for the last few posts. I just can’t help it. It’s my favorite time of year. If I had it my way, there would be lights in my house all the time. I look forward to singing carols, smelling spiced candles and celebrating the miraculous birth of Christ Jesus. So, yes, I’m starting early. And hey, Hobby Lobby is doing it, why can’t I?

Oi vey! Coming home from a few days off to loads of emails, piles of edits and overdue sneak peeks has left me feeling a little out of sorts! I had a wonderful time though, visiting my sweet new nephew who I’ll be sharing photos of soon (as soon as I get caught up on all the others!). I also got to spend time with my sisters and family. I miss them so! I never realized how difficult it would be to have them in different states! But we’re visiting again in a few months for our summer vacay!

Ok, so on to this sneak. I know you parents have been waiting ever so patiently! Thanks so much! And thank you so much for participating in this event! I hope that you are willing to do it again next year! This was a great first run, but we learned a lot of things that we need to implement! This little guy is my last session to show you from my mini session event that I held for my sister in Phoenix. He was all smiles the entire time we were shooting. I love his cute little expressions and the way he doesn’t like his feet touching the grass. Take a peek!

We met at a park in Scottsdale for the mini session event I held for my sister. She is raising money and awareness for the March of Dimes and this sweet family chose to support her in the effort!

The park was great and while I hadn’t been there before, I knew immediately where I wanted to shoot. This great big area of grass and trees had the most perfect evening light. And it’s very rare that you find anything green in the Phoenix desert! The kiddos were so sweet. Miss E is a gem and showed her beautiful smile readily. Mr. D took a while to warm up to me, but I managed to get a few smiles from him.

The hard thing about photography is picking a favorite subject. When you begin to see creatively, almost everything you see calls to be photographed. Ever since I began doing it, I see things differently. I see what needs to be captured. I see art just begging to be created. It’s quite amazing, because you no longer look at your daily commute as something that’s boring. You no longer think of a junkyard as just junk. Instead it’s all beautiful.

Right now, I think my favorite subjects to photograph are 2-3 year olds. Maybe it’s because my youngest daughter is 3. Everything she does is amazing to her. She revels in the simplest things. Crayon art, flowers that are really weeds, singing and magical things. She sees wonderment in everything and is delighted so easily.

Photographing little Kaleb for the 2nd time, I was amazed at how much he’s grown up in just 9 months. The first time, he was a bit shy towards me. But this time, he talked to me and walked me around, telling me what he wanted to do. He was so excited and it was a pleasure seeing his little personality come out. Like Juliana, Caleb delighted in the most simple things and it was so clear that he is a happy child.
