Are you running around, browsing around, trying to think of the perfect gift for your loved one? I have it, the perfect thing. A CLP gift card. Gift cards for a family photography session are the perfect thing to gift your husband, wife, friend, sister, cousin, long lost kid who used to live down the street from you (I kid, I kid). But seriously, what could be better than gifting something so wonderful as a photography session that’s all about them?

Gift cards are available in amounts starting at $200 (the classic session creative fee) up to where ever your pocketbook will allow.

If you’re having a difficult time thinking of that perfect gift, this just may be it!

And now, through 12-15-11, on any gift card you purchase, I’ll add half that amount for an extra credit (i.e: Purchase a $200 gift, I’ll credit it with $300, Purchase a $400 gift, I’ll credit it with $600, you get the picture?).

Just to break it down, here’s an example of a few denominations you can choose!

Buy a $200 gift card, receive an additional $100 credit making it $300
Buy a $300 gift card, receive an additional $150 credit making it $450
Buy a $400 gift card, receive an additional $200 credit making it $600
Buy a $500 gift card, receive an additional $250 credit making it $750
Buy a $600 gift card, receive an additional $300 credit making it $900
Buy a $800 gift card, receive an additional $400 credit making it $1200
Buy a $1000 gift card, receive an additional $500 credit making it $1500

I love new ideas. I love curling babies up and snapping away. I love the art that babies are: simple, breathtaking, pure. And right now, I’d love to broaden my portfolio, offering new poses, new settings and new opportunities to create art with your babies.

If you are pregnant and are due any time in the next 3 months, or know someone who is, this post is for you! The model call is a perfect way to have your brand new baby’s photograph captured at such an important time in their brand new lives.

I am currently looking for brand new babies to photograph. Appointments are limited!

These model call sessions will:

• Have a complimentary creative fee (however, prints and products may be purchased at discounted rates).

• Be goaled towards capturing a single image / pose (but if time and patience permits, additional poses and images may be attempted).

• Require a model release (most likely the image will be published).

• Be held at either your home or at an outdoor location of Christie’s preference.

The current model calls are for:

• Any newborn babies that are 10 days or younger.

• Newborn twins and triplets, either one week of age or within one week of age of coming home from the nicu (preferably with minimal time spent in the nicu).

Whew. What a year. Almost a year ago, I decided to take a break from my busy business. I needed to pull back and be certain of where I felt God leading me. In all honesty, I had this naive idea that there would be this clear and loud direction in which I was to go. This was not the case. In fact, there was nothing clear about those first few months of being “off”.

The best thing for me, however, was that I was patient. This is a feat in itself because I am not the most patient person. But I committed to taking time off to enjoy and rest and live. I’ve learned about who I am, what I need in my life, how to be a better wife/mom/person. I have learned my limits and boundaries and I’ve learned that creating is a passion. But more than that, capturing love and connection between people is such a part of who I am, what inspires me and what helps me to see God’s love. I’ve said, this whole year, that I want to glorify God in this. What I’ve learned is that capturing your love and your relationship is an act of worship for me, and without it I’m just seeking and searching. Over and over in the last few months you, my friends and clients, have reiterated this to me in one conversation after another. Perhaps, this is what I was meant to do all along…

And so here I am, ready to move and capture more. Ready to help lead you into making picture perfect memories that truly reflect the parts of your family and your life that you want to remember and freeze. I’m more focused and determined, excited and inspired than ever before!
