Greater Houston Area Children and Family Photography | Christie Lacy bio picture

Come in and stay a while :)

Hi! I'm Christie. I'm married (Jerome) and mama to 3 beautiful kiddos (8, 6 & 3). They keep me busy, but they keep me young. I love seeing the world through their eyes, learning about things I'd forgotten about since I was their ages. I love that they find beauty in the smallest things. I love their wonderment and awe, their many moods and their desire to know everything they can.

I wasn't a photographer before my children. I didn't grow up using my father's Pentax film camera. I think I got a little camera for one of my birthdays, but probably lost it somewhere along the way. If that's a story you were expecting to hear, I'm sorry to dissappoint!

Photography was something that I grew into as my desire to freeze in time everything that these wonderful blessings embraced. From the way my middle one closes his eyes in bliss every time he eats (he has a real love for tasty foods), to capturing the boys playing in mud, and seeing baby girl's imagination come to life when she dons her princess garb. As I've seen with my now 8 year old, time passes way too swiftly. The things that they do today, will be gone tomorrow, all except for the photographs.

My goal for your session is to help you freeze your moments. Your child's stages of life, their joy, their imagination, and even the temper tantrums. So whether you want to hop out on the golf course, have a baking cookies session, or wander around in the park, let's capture your real life moments. Yes, my goal is to capture these moments so that you'll have them to remember back on. But more importantly, my goal is to capture them for your children to look back on. Do this for you, but more importantly, do it for them.

You Have Brains In Your Head | Cypress Senior Photographer

“…You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You’re on your own.
And you know what you know. You are the guy who’ll decide where to go.”  – Dr. Seuss

I’m blown away at this girl. From the moment I met her and we got to talking, I was blown away. She is a force. She is smart. She has brains in her head and I believe that those brains are going to take her so many places.

Let me explain…

She has a goal in mind of what she wants her career to be, but she’s not limiting herself to that one thing. She’s pushing further, educating herself more, so that one day, she’ll have options if she ever needs them.

She values herself and believes that the lessons she’s learned in the past (paired with her amazing parents) have helped her understand those values. She knows where she wants to be and she knows what type of people she wants to be with.

She knows God and knows that He has a plan for her and that whatever she’s going through, He’s giving it to her for a reason.

She has a huge heart. She’s loyal to those she loves. She forgives those who’ve hurt her.

She is amazing and I know her parents are so proud.

Her name is Chanel, she’s graduating college in May and she most definitely has brains in her head.

Kristina + Chelsey : Homecoming | Houston Senior Photographer

When Chelsey and Kristina asked me to snap a few photos before they headed out to their dance, I was more than happy to do so. At first we were just going to go to a nearby location that had a lot of greenery. But as it happened, the only an hour before I found out about this place. New locations are always so fun to find and get to shoot at. New creativity and new possiblities. And to get to shoot here at this specific abandoned location with beautiful girls dressed in equally beautiful attire, well that’s just icing on the cake :)

ashley + callie = bff

There’s nothing else like your bff. Your touchstone, she knows your faults, she celebrates your successes. She knows you and loves you for who you are, even if you don’t agree on everything. And those disagreements don’t really matter, because what matters is that she’s there for you, and you’re there for her when the going gets tough. I ♥ my bff :)

And I LOVED this shoot. These two were so much fun to hang out with. I loved how fun and outgoing they were together. They brought out the beauty in each other and I just know they’re going to miss each other as they go away to college this coming school year. Well, girls, I hope these photos will help you to remember all the fun you’ve had with each other and help you look forward to all the good times you’ll have ahead! Check out your slideshow!

While many of us are lounging around the pool, going to the beach, vacationing, Krista is already beginning her senior year at Cy-Fair. Today she was photographed for her obligatory Cap and Gown photo for the yearbook. But last week, she opted to do some senior photos that expressed who she is. The great thing about my senior photo sessions is that I really am able to get to know these young adults. But better yet, they are given creative freedom to express who they are becoming, what they’re in to, and sometimes where they’re going. It’s so exciting! They’re on the brink of something great and to be able to capture this huge time in their lives…well I just feel lucky.

jessica | 2009 graduate | Cypress Senior Photography

I am lucky. when you see the slideshow below, you’ll completely understand. Jessica’s mom asked me to photograph her for her senior photos. No, not the ones she had to have for the yearbook, but the ones she wanted to remember of who she truly is, how she truly looks, how beautiful her personality is. And…she’s amazing. I had so much fun photographing her and she’s just so gorgeous it was hard to narrow them down…but check it out:
