Greater Houston Area Children and Family Photography | Christie Lacy bio picture

Come in and stay a while :)

Hi! I'm Christie. I'm married (Jerome) and mama to 3 beautiful kiddos (8, 6 & 3). They keep me busy, but they keep me young. I love seeing the world through their eyes, learning about things I'd forgotten about since I was their ages. I love that they find beauty in the smallest things. I love their wonderment and awe, their many moods and their desire to know everything they can.

I wasn't a photographer before my children. I didn't grow up using my father's Pentax film camera. I think I got a little camera for one of my birthdays, but probably lost it somewhere along the way. If that's a story you were expecting to hear, I'm sorry to dissappoint!

Photography was something that I grew into as my desire to freeze in time everything that these wonderful blessings embraced. From the way my middle one closes his eyes in bliss every time he eats (he has a real love for tasty foods), to capturing the boys playing in mud, and seeing baby girl's imagination come to life when she dons her princess garb. As I've seen with my now 8 year old, time passes way too swiftly. The things that they do today, will be gone tomorrow, all except for the photographs.

My goal for your session is to help you freeze your moments. Your child's stages of life, their joy, their imagination, and even the temper tantrums. So whether you want to hop out on the golf course, have a baking cookies session, or wander around in the park, let's capture your real life moments. Yes, my goal is to capture these moments so that you'll have them to remember back on. But more importantly, my goal is to capture them for your children to look back on. Do this for you, but more importantly, do it for them.

sisters – Houston Area Child, Family and Senior Photography

When I first saw a picture of these darling girls on Facebook, my first thought was WOW! They are so gorgeous and so unique. They live in France (yes, I went around all week saying I have clients coming from France to have me photograph them!! LOL! Ok, they didn’t come specifically for me, but hey, a girl can dream can’t she?) and came to have a long visit with friends and family. While here in Houston we scheduled a session to capture their beauty. They are the sweetest bunch of sisters I’ve ever met. So well mannered, so friendly, not shy at all. I loved that!

Thanks, Keri, for bringing your girls all the way from France! :) :) :)

golf and pettiskirts – Cypress Fun Family Photography

When Jenny contacted me and said that she wanted to do some fun portraits of her kiddos, and then went on to tell me about the petti skirt for her darling daughter, and even more about how her cute 2 year old loves to golf…Well, I just fell in love! I love love love when parents choose to involve what they do in real everyday life into their portrait sessions. It makes the sessions that much more fun, that much more relaxing and the kids show their true enjoyment. And I get to capture special moments that really mean a lot to the family. What could be better than that?

So, P Family, here’s your sneak peek! Thanks so much for choosing me to capture your moments!

Baby Planner: Presley – Cypress Family, Child and Senior Photographer

This was our 3rd session wtih Mr P. I know all babies get cuter as they grow, but I swear my clients babies are by far the cutest around! Presley is no different! So we set out Friday evening to capture him in this stage of exploring, laughter, learning to walk, and I hope we captured all of it! He’s such a little ham for the camera and I’m so so so happy that he seems to know me now (just makes it that much more fun!). Ok ok, enough talk, I know you just want to see the pictures :)

They’re going fast! I’ve only got a few spaces left, if you’re interested in scheduling, I would suggest doing so as soon as possible! If these dates fill, I’ll possibly

be adding more sessions in Late March/Early April. Get your spot while you can!

The L Family – Spring Family, Child and Senior Photography

I went out to Spring on Friday to meet up with some clients who’ve been with me from the beginning…I think they booked me during my first month of taking real live clients! It’s such a
special treat to see them, to see how they’ve grown, how their girls are growing up. So we went out to their awesome backyard to get some photos. I swear fairies live in that yard! Miss G said there weren’t any…maybe their in hibernation :) It was so good to see you guys again!

Kate’s 1 – Houston Child, Family and Senior Photography

When I got there today, I couldn’t help but stare at her. I’ve known her a whole year and been lucky enough to photographer her a handful of times over this year. She’s changed so much since I first met her at 6 days old. Her mom calls me Aunt Christie now. I’m officially apart of her family and I couldn’t be more touched. Photographing this family has always been so pleasant, so laid back, so real. More reasons why I love what I do and why I love my clients. Thanks so much for choosing me guys! you rock!
