When I first saw a picture of these darling girls on Facebook, my first thought was WOW! They are so gorgeous and so unique. They live in France (yes, I went around all week saying I have clients coming from France to have me photograph them!! LOL! Ok, they didn’t come specifically for me, but hey, a girl can dream can’t she?) and came to have a long visit with friends and family. While here in Houston we scheduled a session to capture their beauty. They are the sweetest bunch of sisters I’ve ever met. So well mannered, so friendly, not shy at all. I loved that!

When Jenny contacted me and said that she wanted to do some fun portraits of her kiddos, and then went on to tell me about the petti skirt for her darling daughter, and even more about how her cute 2 year old loves to golf…Well, I just fell in love! I love love love when parents choose to involve what they do in real everyday life into their portrait sessions. It makes the sessions that much more fun, that much more relaxing and the kids show their true enjoyment. And I get to capture special moments that really mean a lot to the family. What could be better than that?

This was our 3rd session wtih Mr P. I know all babies get cuter as they grow, but I swear my clients babies are by far the cutest around! Presley is no different! So we set out Friday evening to capture him in this stage of exploring, laughter, learning to walk, and I hope we captured all of it! He’s such a little ham for the camera and I’m so so so happy that he seems to know me now (just makes it that much more fun!). Ok ok, enough talk, I know you just want to see the pictures

I went out to Spring on Friday to meet up with some clients who’ve been with me from the beginning…I think they booked me during my first month of taking real live clients! It’s such a
special treat to see them, to see how they’ve grown, how their girls are growing up. So we went out to their awesome backyard to get some photos. I swear fairies live in that yard! Miss G said there weren’t any…maybe their in hibernation It was so good to see you guys again!

When I got there today, I couldn’t help but stare at her. I’ve known her a whole year and been lucky enough to photographer her a handful of times over this year. She’s changed so much since I first met her at 6 days old. Her mom calls me Aunt Christie now. I’m officially apart of her family and I couldn’t be more touched. Photographing this family has always been so pleasant, so laid back, so real. More reasons why I love what I do and why I love my clients. Thanks so much for choosing me guys! you rock!

I’m always humbled when other photographers ask me to photograph for them. Be it them, themselves, their families, or as a second shooter. Being that I am so critical of my own work, when someone from the industry sees something in my art, well, it’s one of the best compliments.

Last week I was asked to photograph a little girl of a great friend and fellow photographer. Since she just turned two, I was sure I had it in the bag (with my own Juliana being 2). But I didn’t. haha! Morgan hadn’t seen me in a while and was a bit shy, so we had to work to get some pictures. I had to call over her big sister to help out, and even daddy did some twirling (yes, Sonny, I have pictures of that, too…I’m making a .gif out of it for ya) to get Morgan in the mood for some cheese

Ashley’s mom called me last week to schedule a photo session for Ashley’s senior pictures. She’ll be graduating this year so already has
year book pictures in. But mom wanted something a bit more personal, something that showed Ashley’s real personality. And can I just say,
this girl has personality! She was so fun and we had a great time laughing and talking. Thank you so much for choosing me, Laura!

Baby M – Houston Newborn Photographer – Christie Lacy

It really is one of the best reasons I love my job. I get to snuggle and cuddle and smell newborn babies every so often. My babies are getting so big and when I get to see these precious new souls, it reminds me how quickly they grow and change.

I was so happy I was asked to photograph this little one. She was so sweet and will be taken very good care of by her big brother. As soon as I walked in the room he showed how proud he was and announced it to whomever would listen that this was his baby sister. So I spent some time with this family, photographing, taking breaks, listening to 2 yr old stories (they really are the best stories!!). And here is a sneak peek from that day.

I was lucky to photograph this family a few weeks ago, right before the weather started to turn. I know I say all families are excellent, but they truly are, and this one was no different! We were a bit worried that the little one wouldn’t cooperate as his nap time was right at our scheduled shoot time due to the time change. But he was excellent and we had a great time! I love that this family wanted true interaction shots. It makes me smile so much and makes my heart leap with joy! Thanks for choosing me, O family! I hope to see you again next year!!
