Some of you may have heard that my family has suffered a tragic loss. My dear sister, Michele, and her husband were pregnant and beginning their family. At approximately 17 weeks,
Michele began to have some complications. She was put on bedrest but, unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse. My sweet brave and loving sister gave birth to her first baby, Amelia,
at around 19 weeks. Being so young, sweet Amelia could not survive outside of Michele’s womb.
One day, all babies will be healthy. We need to walk to get there. And on April 18th in Phoenix, my family will be out on the road, marching in memory of these sweet little angels that didn’t make it, but marching for future babies to help improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. If you have it in your heart to make a contribution in any amount you can part with, I know that Michele and Patrick and our families would greatly appreciate it!
