Portrait parties are an exciting and affordable way for you and your friends to get together and have professional portraits taken of your family in a relaxed environment. These sessions are a wonderful way for you to have a custom portrait experience with CLP without having the price commitment of a full custom session. Portrait Parties are great for people who:
* need an updated photo of their child.
* Have experienced a full session and want to take advantage of the current season.
* Would like to have a themed session.
What is a Portrait Party?
A portrait party is an event hosted in your home or a near by location of your choice where CLP brings the studio to you. CLP will take professional portraits for you and your friends in 20 minute mini-sessions. We will need space for setting up backdrops and lights; preferably a living/family room, garage OR an outdoor setting appropriate for portraits. (Gardens, Trees, Patios, Fences, bird baths, benches, etc make beautiful backdrops!)
How do they work?
Portrait Parties are hosted by one person who provides the location, coordinates the guest list, schedules the sessions in 20 minute intervals and collects the fees. Hostesses are welcomed (and encouraged!) to have refreshments, snacks and activities (to keep the little ones busy while they wait) on hand while the party takes place. Guests enjoy a short, but fun session without the full pricing commitment. Once the party is complete, guests will visit our online proofing gallery to view and order their prints. Prints will be delivered to the hostess who will then deliver them to the guests.

First, make out a potential guest list. We require at least 10 people to participate in the parties with a maximum of 18. Discuss dates with your guests to see which dates will work best for all of you. Once your date is set you can put together an invitation to postal or email out. Select a good location for the photographs.

I want to host! What do I have to do?
The Portrait Party is organized by the party host. The party host is the key ingredient to a successful party. Hosts invite guests, coordinate the bringing of snacks and drinks (if not providing themselves) and the scheduling of sessions. Successful hosts follow up with their guests with reminders and to ensure that every session block is filled.
I would recommend that as a hostess you provide some simple snacks and drinks for your guests. Or if you prefer you can have your guests share with the snacks and drinks. Please schedule your guests’ sessions 20 minutes apart. Please have the sessions scheduled consecutively so there aren’t any gaps between sessions (i.e. noon, 12:20, 12:40, 1pm etc) Your guests are not required to stay for the duration of the party.
Encourage your guests to bring multiple outfits, hats, and any other props that they would like to use to personalize their photographs. Every image is available in color and black/white. Indoor AND outdoor photos can be taken per person/family.
The only monies you are responsible for collecting are the initial fees. If you prefer to have your guests contact CLP to pay, please let us know at the time of booking. As a hostess, you receive one 20 minute session complimentary along with an 8×10 Fine Art Print. In addition, you receive a $10 print credit for every person who commits (10 guests = $100! 18 guests = $180!)!

Themes are not required, but you or your guests may have something in mind! All ideas are welcomed and are only limited to your imagination! Here are a few we’ve thought of:

All fees include: One 20 minute custom photo session, 5-7 digitally enhanced photos to choose from, One 8×10 Fine Art Print, VIP Pricing (20% off!!) on additional purchases. If you would like to add an additional person in a single 20 minute slot, please add $20 per person (for example, sibling photos, grandparents, etc).
