What is it about rainy days that make you want to curl up on the couch with a cozy blanket and read books and watch movies all day? This weather has my heart aching for that! Pair that with the cooler weather…I’m ready to call it fall, though I know that here in Houston, fall won’t come for another month.
A perk of my job is that I get to meet alot of different families. I get to peer into their lives, see how they love. Working with children can be a challenge. Some take a long time to warm up, while others greet me with a big hug the moment they see me. Some are super shy and keep their smiles to themselves. But, that’s part of what makes this job so amazing because every so often, those smiles shine out and the world becomes an even more beautiful place.
