Yes, I’m thankful. I’m so thankful for my family, for my friends, my children. I’m thankful that I have the right to choose my faith, my politics, the color of clothes that I want to wear. I’m thankful I have an education, that my children will have an education. I’m thankful everyday for so many of these things, and many of them I take for granted.
I am especially thankful for the men and women that have dedicated their lives to fighting for our country. Young and old, they go out and commit every day to help us keep the freedoms we deserve and earn. More than thankful, I am inspired.
Last week my dear friend Gina called me to see if I could do an OpLove session for her sister-in-law and her husband. How could I say no when this young man is going off to fight for our freedoms, leaving his beautiful wife here at home, missing the birth of his first child. I am not only thankful that I had the opportunity to photograph this young family, I am honored; I am blessed.
Jessie, Krysten, thank you both for all you are doing, for giving each other up in hopes that our children will continue to live the way we have. I pray for your safe return! I can’t wait to meet your little bundle of joy. I hope you enjoy these photos!
