Come in and stay a while :)

Hi! I'm Christie. I'm married (Jerome) and mama to 3 beautiful kiddos (7, 5 and 2). They keep me busy, but they keep me young. I love seeing the world through their eyes, learning about things I'd forgotten about since I was their ages. I love that they find beauty in the smallest things. I love their wonderment and awe, their many moods and their desire to know everything they can.

I wasn't a photographer pre-child. It was something that I grew into as my desire to freeze in time everything that these wonderful blessings embraced. From the way my middle one closes his eyes in bliss every time he eats (he has a real love for tasty foods), to capturing the boys playing in mud, and seeing baby girl's imagination come to life when she dons her princess garb. As I've seen with my now 7 year old, time passes way too swiftly. The things that they do today, will be gone tomorrow, except for the photographs.

My goal for your session is to help you freeze your moments. Your child's stages of life, their joy, their imagination, and even the temper tantrums. So whether you want to hop out on the golf course, have a baking cookies session, or wander around in the park, let's capture your real life moments.

Warrenton Antique Show – Christie Lacy – Houston Children and Family Photographer

Yesterday, a friend and I went to the Warrenton, TX antique market. It was a splendid site to see! A photographer’s dream. Unfortunately, I had the 2 kids along with me and wasn’t really able to get into photographing, in fear they’d touch and break something worth a gazillion  dollars. I’m going to try and see if I can make it out there this weekend, though, they say the one road in and out of town backs up for miles on the weekends. Only an hour and a half’s drive from Houston, located in the beautiful town of Warrenton. Check out more here: www.zapphall.com

These are some of the treasures I picked up from a sweet little place called Willow Nest. Their set up was so feminine, shades of muted pink, white and cream. I adored this little shop and will be back time and time again, I think! The Willow Nest is opening a store in the town of Burton, TX. They are planning their very first event for November 8th 2008. I plan to stop by, even for a short while to see what adorns their shop. I can only imagine!

And here are some shots I took with my trusty point and shoot. There truly was so much I wish I had been able to photograph, so many things I wish I could have taken with me. I am definitely going back next year with a plan, and without kids, tee hee!

Stay tuned to the blog for more sneak peeks! I have a few to post over the next couple of days!
