This workshop is a one-on-on mini mentorship. You sign up for a full 6 hours that are filled to the brim of ideas, inspiration, practice and more to get you on your way to becoming a better photographer. The One-on-One {photography} is perfect for photographers who are taking big strides and have big dreams of becoming a wonderful children’s or family portrait photographer. This workshop is great for a photographer who is either thinking about business or who is currently in business but needs to polish her/his skills. The One on One {Photography} workshop is dedicated to photography only. No business or photoshop information is provided during this workshop, however, you are welcomed to review the One-on-One {workflow} or One-on-One {branding basics}.
So, what’s included?
- a one hour conversation via skype/iChat or the phone. We’ll talk about your goals for your photography, what you want to focus on during our time together, etc. This will allow us to get to know each other a bit more, too! (this hour is not included in the 6 hours of the workshop)
- We’ll start our day with a light lunch and a refresher about the conversation we had, previously. This is a great time for you to ask any questions you might have pertaining to photography. If you wish, we can review your portfolio to see what areas you might need to focus more in.
- We’ll go out and shoot. I’ll push you to grow and put the basics of photography into practice. We’ll talk composition, exposure, using available light, using natural light and using fill light options.
- Depending on your focus (family or children) or where you want to grow more, I’ll schedule a live shoot with a real life model(s). I’ll be there to show you the ropes, but I’ll also sit back and coach you through the shoot, helping and walking you through any struggles you might have.
- We’ll meet back at the coffee shop and look over your images from the day, critiquing along the way. We’ll close with any questions you might still have left after we review your new images!
- More in-depth topics: finding consistency in your exposure, finding light effectively.
Requirements:
- must understand the fundamentals of photography (shooting in manual mode, understanding exposure)
Cost: $950.00
- payment plans are available.
- pricing discounts available if purchasing an additional One-on-One workshop.
- please contact Christie for more information on either of the above.
